Holy crap this moved so fast.
Last week my husband and I went on vacation, and I was bummed I would be missing the progress. I've become obsessed with seeing something new each day once the framing happened. While we missed a lot, it was really neat to come back and actually see a HOUSE.
The roof is up, the shingles are on.
We got to walk through and make a few adjustments which was great. I have to say, our PM is AMAZING. He's so patient, kind, explains everything, and actually CARES what I think. I was REALLY reaaaaaally unhappy with the attic access panel in the princess bedroom. I don't know why, but it truly bothered me. It's right when you walk in, and I think it's a major eyesore. Put it in a closet! I really and truly dislike the placement. I would rather it anywhere else.
So, today, I made my final plea, and we found another solution that is within code, and takes it out of the bedroom. I'm really happy about this. LOL
Also, we opted for the planning desk, which we regretted and asked them not to finish so that we could convert that space to a butler pantry (For a 5 bedroom house, the pantry is laughable). Our PM agreed to close off the wall for us, and install the two pieces of the desk so that I have a beautiful countertop to store our counter-type appliances. I'm going to have custom pantry shelves installed and make a beautiful area. I'm honestly super excited. Which I wasn't but our PM saved the day.
Our pre-drywall is on Friday, and I'm so excited. Here are some of the inside all framed and done.
